Once he stopped shitting on GEOTUS, yeah he became alright.

Geocav 260 points ago +261 / -1

The primary was vicious, Trump was merciless towards him and even his wife as Trump should've been, the survival of the fittest after all. That being said Ted has fallen into line and backed the President and let bygones be bygones. Look at jeb and the rest of the bush's & never Trumpers to highlight the difference. I have a lot of respect for Ted for doing the right thing for the President, Country & party. Ted has balls, he was standing his ground with the media even before Trump got into the race, he would've been my choice had Trump not got in. I was for Trump right from the start because I knew he was a tough business-minded guy and spoke his mind, not a phony politician.

A reminder that it was Lying Ted that called Melania a whore and brought spouses into the ring.

28
djt2020ftw 28 points ago +28 / -0

To be fair it was a never trump super pac. Tomato, tomahto. Still Ted didn't disavow it and things got nasty because Trump doesn't hide behind pacs.

8
Geocav 8 points ago +8 / -0

LOL, that's funny because I don't remember that, that's about how unmemorable His Melania remark was, but boy I do remember the bad pic of Ted's wife...that one stuck with me...the poor thing.

Cruz is a good leader but needed Trump to show him the new Republican way of doing politics.

5
SnowflakeJuice 5 points ago +5 / -0

I actually supported Ted until he came out in support of the TPP trade deal. that was an unforgivable sin, and showed he was all in for Globalism.

After defending that position for weeks, he later backtracked when he saw which way the wind was blowing. After being burned by supposed conservatives Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio, I am hyper sensitive to signs of someone being a fraud and fake conservative.

I think Ted Cruz is a good guy, and is a good Senator, but he will never have my support for President. Jim Jordan has been far more consistent in his views

Interrogating little Ashleigh will only ‘reveal’ that the top instruments of her radicalization are government-protected media monopolies, government-enabled technological intermediaries, government-run public schools, and government-financed universities.

7
OK_Citizen 7 points ago +7 / -0

The primary was rough for Cruz and he sounded very butthurt in his concession speech after Trump won. But after a while, he got over it, grew his wolverine chops, and has been solidly behind Trump ever since. He’s learned from Trump and speaks his mind a lot more openly now than before. I like him, he’s solid.

he nailed everything in that post.

Just to clarify, Ted's just quoting the article he linked:

https://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2020/09/03/why-trump-doesnt-just-send-in-the-troops-n2575501

7

The tweets are a direct quote from the linked article's author, Kurt Schlichter.

He served in Desert Storm, then in the National Guard when they were called up for the LA riots, and has written some really great opinion pieces..

31
nickybops 31 points ago +33 / -2

Yeah no, there's many things you can call him but one isn't a commie. Dude has been a staunch anti commie and is banned from china for criticizing the chinese communist party. He's one of the few senators who has called the left out for being communist sympathizers. I think he should take more action, but when it comes to introducing legislation in a congress as partisan an unwilling to cooperate as this one is I am starting to believe that would be beyond pointless because it would be dead in the water.

11
tcriv 11 points ago +12 / -1

do you have any rationale or evidence of that besides a vicious primary?

-4
infinity -4 points ago +2 / -6

Look at the primary......He's a goddam dispicible liar. I mean he's really really bad. Lying like I honestly have never seen in my life and an honorable man would rather kill himself than Lie like that.

Only Commies can lie that much.

He's definitely absolutely a fucking g commie and if you can't see it , then that just proves how good he is at deception

32
DogFacedPepeSoldier 32 points ago +33 / -1

Explained how impeachment was bullshit every night it was going on with Michael Knowles.

Filibustered Obamacare are for 21 hours while the rest of the Republicans were rolling over. This was before Trump

Introduced several good pieces of legislation including a bill to cut federal funding from colleges which accept Chinese influence (Confucius Institutes)

There's a reason he went the distance against Trump and there's a reason the establishment RINOs took so long to drop out and never endorced him against Trump like the never Trumpers called on them to do. Cruz supporters in the primary were the same as Trump supporters, they just backed a different horse. You're not helping anyone by ignoring this.

5
alfredbester 5 points ago +5 / -0

nice screen name!

5
JeremiahKassin 5 points ago +6 / -1

I was a Cruz supporter. I didn't trust Trump because he was an unknown. I wasn't sure if he was running for fame, or because he meant what he said. I knew Cruz could counter-punch. I voted for Trump, and I'm really glad he won and I ended up being wrong, but Cruz isn't swamp. He's just been in the game long enough to learn to compromise.

I used to see that as an asset. Now I realize compromising with the democrats is shaking hands with death. I hope Cruz has come to the same conclusion. His Twitter game is strong, and he has the bonifides, but I'll have to be convinced he can stand against the political machine if I'm ever going to back him for president again.

7
gogueofreeee 7 points ago +11 / -4

4
alfredbester 4 points ago +4 / -0

Mutton chops and a Sherlock Holmes pipe that he's constantly lighting and fiddling with.

6
LionTed 6 points ago +6 / -0

There's no way to make this point without sounding demoralizing, but aside from Trump (and his executive powers) what has anyone done?

People rip on Ted for being all talk, but that's all anyone in his position can do. And the majority of GOP politicians don't even do that.

To all the people saying "DO SOMETHING THEN" or "He's all talk" - What do you expect a single senator or even a dozen like-minded senators to do during a split legislature besides getting out the PR messaging and being aggressive in his various committee functions.

They're not going to get any meaningful legislation to actually turn the country back in the right direction until we win back the House so for now, yeah "all talk" is all you can expect from Ted.

Ted cruz has grown since 2016. He's always been a firebrand in the Senate, but he really wasn't funny or captivating. That's why the story about him having multiple affairs was hilarious. But because of trump cruz has come out of his shell. Realize that he can say the quite stuff out loud and it's just going to make him more popular.

4
TheTexan 4 points ago +4 / -0

He is an outstanding constitutional scholar. I supported him in the primary, when President Trump won it was my duty to support him, even though he was a wild card. He has turned out to be wildly successful, greater than anyone could have imagined, and Ted is a solid conservative who has backed our President 100%.

No conservative or republican or libertarian candidate of any kind is a good politician until they start talking about rolling back our fifty five year losing streak on precedents. He's positioning himself for 2024 and I frankly think we would be fools to let him fall through the cracks just because he was trying to win against Trump in the primaries. You guys gotta let that go. We don't have anyone in the Congress who is on the same page as us, in the way that Cruz is. I strongly urge my fellow patriots to consider this option.

How did they make themselves easy targets? Any resistance against Antifa is going to be painted as “right wing extremists” by the media. Just like King Kyle. There’s not a perfect way to fight back against liars.

Lyin' Ted turned into Lion Ted and I like it. Beard Ted has been actually an unbelievable new man. I suspect he separated from his neurotic wife or she got drugged or something because he's a new man.

This is good stuff because it really does need to be done and ASAP because it will be the Asheighs and the worst of these assholes who try and interfere with the Election Day and the days after.

Wreck them now on every possible charge, all the 'Trumped up Charges' they can think of, every excuse and reason so that by the time October 3rd comes around most of the worst ones are in jail (or in very serious situations) for the next few months.

Dont even worry about how many will beat the charges before the end of the year because by then the worst of the shitdisturbing they can do is over for a while.

By the way, if Trump can get as many "Journalists" arrested along the way that would be great too.

You want to see the true devastating effect this Angry BLACK uprising? Wait till the next jobs report comes out showing a massive decline in BLACK employment.

  • Do you really think people are enthusiastic about hiring these people of color to work at their beloved American companies?
  • To work in their homes or in their neighborhoods?
  • To work with the food we eat?
  • To work at banks where we keep our money?
  • You think people want to hire them to work with the elderly or our children?
  • Can we count on them to make proper intelligent decisions?
  • Can we trust them at all, can we trust their children?
  • What if they get angry again?
  • Maybe they will get upset and burn my house or my business or hurt my kids.

"Tell me why I should hire you after you seem so proud and honored to have burned American businesses and killed our babies. "

  • I will never hire another BLACK person!

No, I'll Pass!
