Another crucial piece he missed is our brief looks into the intent and mindsets of kyle and the pedo from earlier in the night.

Kyle: photos of him cleaning graffiti earlier in the day and a brief interview before the shooting when he describes why he's there: protecting property and helping people, he has his medkit. Also his rifle, for his own protection.

Rosenbaum: possibly tweaking on meth (any word on toxicology from an autopsy?) "Shoot me n****" while actively provoking confrontation.
