2A is the cornerstone to defending the rest of our rights, but have you read the 14th Amendment recently?
14A, Section 2 allows us to reduce the population numbers used to determine apportionment in the House of Representatives by subtracting the number of anti-American insurgents in each state. So, by rioting, the rioters are effectively disenfranchising themselves in the House, the Electoral College, and in state goverment.
14A, Section 3 makes it unlawful for any Senator or Representative to serve the US in Congress if they have ever given material support or aid of comfort to those who take part in anti-American rebellion. This should allow us to kick some of the worst of the Democrats out of office directly.
I think there is a general belief on the left that if you edit what words mean by woke commie infiltration of dictionary companies, than legislation that uses these terms suddenly gain new and different meanings never approved by legislators.
Guns are apparently not a human right despite being an explicit amendment, but Democrats declare abortion a human right when it's an implied right from the implied right to privacy. Honk honk.
If I had a time machine I would be like "Guys, you want to put that part in REAL big letters, maybe underline it a few times"
"Er...while you are at it, could you add an addendum clearly stating this amendment has nothing to do with fucking hunting? Now, does anyone know where Thomas is? I hear he has some lit chronic.."
A well regulated (meaning in good working order or well equipped) militia (meaning the portion of the population actually able to defend themselves, whether 14 or 80 years old) being necessary to the security of a free state (They're talking about the state of freedom, or the state of being a free man. Not necessarily the security of your state, like Georgia, Ohio, etc. but also that too) the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed (Infringe: act as though to limit or undermine something)
Do not let people tell you that because the word "regulated" is in the 2A, that it means "well restricted", because this is false. In early American English, if something was well regulated it meant that it was in good working order and well taken care of or supplied.
Also people think that the 2A only applies to Militias because it states militia is the first sentence. People now think of a militia as a paramilitary group who designate themselves as fighters for a particular cause. Back then and even now, a militia just means the portion of the population who is actually able to do the fighting and defending. If someones property, life, or family is under attack it is going to be someone who is part of the "militia" of this country who wards off the attackers. It is not going to be the 85 year old, bedridden grandma. Still it does not exempt GamGam from owning a rifle.
If the 2A were written today it would read as follows:
A well armed and supplied population, being necessary to the security of freedom. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

How does THAT get a downvote? Care to explain downvoter?
Commie gonna commie. Doesn't like that we actually have anti-commie set in stone.
Interesting how that was passed right after the civil war. When all the southern states were allowed back into Congress.
Please make this a post. Trump needs to see this.
With any luck, changes coming in Trumps second term
More like, “how can we subvert the clear meaning of the text to achieve our desired outcome?”.
In the last couple days, Merriam-Webster changed their definition of racism:
