I've always considered myself a conservative hippie. I've never understood the aversion many conservatives have to treating their bodies like a temple. Sure, most Chads Kyles are conservative, but your average rural and suburban conservatives drink excessively, smoke cigarettes, chew tobacco, eat fast food daily, watch 4 hours of TV per day, etc. Why is it that not doing these things is "hippie"?
It was always funny when I ran a farmers market and community garden in a suburban town I used to live in people just assumed when I talked about these things I was definitely a liberal. Nope!
