Vitamin D absorption is greatly modified by the pigmentation of skin. In other words, blacks and those with darker skin pigmentations need more sunlight to absorb a similar amount of vitamin D. And don't get mad at me for saying it, I'm a black person. It's not a racist statement. It's simply a fact.
