this seems like a dirty trick democrats are pulling to get republicans to vote by mail and doing something nefarious in the process. you have no idea if your ballot will even reach the proper destination.
The President said you can go ahead and vote by mail, but also go to vote in person on election day. If your mail-in ballot has been posted you should not be able to receive another ballot. If you are permitted to vote in person, then any mail-in ballot received later should be thrown out as a duplicate.

I definitely found it odd but I haven't stopped receiving stuff from the campaign since I registered to go to his event.

I am voting in person on Election Day first thing in am early dark to avoid any goblins or lines
I've gotten several mailers as well from the campaign addressing the issue.
