Environmentalists have ruined this state, and made it MORE of an environmental disaster.When there is a forest fire, usually tree will be burnt and killed, but they are still good and usable wood. Logging companies have a short window where they can come in, clear out the deadwood, and all the while plant new saplings. However, environmentalists will file an injunction against the loggers, which stops their operations until a judge hears the case... but that takes months, and by then the wood has turned "blue" and is no longer profitable... so they have to cease operations.
This is the goal of the environmentalists in the first place. So we have areas, now, that either haven't burned in 100 years (thanks Smokey the Bear, you fucking Commie piece of shit) or have perfect, dry kindling from previous small fires that weren't logged out, and now we get these massive fires that burn so hot and fast that they GLASS sandy areas they go over, and sterilize the ground for decades for anything but brush and weeds.
