Fair but Thomas Jefferson aligns so much more closely with the Republican Party today. Democrats today don’t believe in and defend the principles of liberty and individualism.

Oh so the parties did SWITCH SIDES after the civil war just like the lefties tell me????

Just kidding, what I think you mean is that the party that started Democrat was so much more moderate that they more resembled republicans today than the extreme leftists that exist today. I hear ya.

Dems claim Jefferson, but they have absolutely nothing in common with him. They are thoroughly Marxist.

At this point the Democratic Party should just change its name to the Global-Communist-Stalinist Party.

I think they have support for public education in common with him.

Jefferson favored public education through age 10, if I remember correctly, and each student would constantly have been required to demonstrate his ability to handle more advanced education at public expense beyond that.

Fucking GREAT idea that we should implement now, which has no resemblance to anything either party has favored in probably over a century.

That’s just a contemporary label used to avoid confusion with the current (third) Republican party. In its day it was simply the Republican party. You may want to read about how the current Republican party chose its name.

Muh party switch, because Democrats for some reason wanted to adopt the name that was tainted throughout history for no good reason what so ever.
