I'm a pretty huge county/Bluegrass fan. It's becoming more apparent that guys like Sturgill Simpson do not want me listening to their work over not supporting Marxist organizations. That saddens me, because I can put political differences aside most of the time, but not when they smack me in the face with it.
I'm in the Appalachian region, so guys like Stapleton, Childers, and Simpsons are some of my faves. I also like Texas stuff, Red Dirt, and so on.
I don't really listen to pop/radio friendly country.
My question for you guys. Do you have recommendations for artists in the realm of artists like Cash, Haggard, and Lynn that are new-ish that either does't involve themselves in cultural Marxism or are just freedom/liberty leaning?
Just an added line, guys like Colter Wall never mention this horseshit. They seem really traditional.
Thank you for any help and recommendations.
Vince Gill has some really good blue grass stuff.Nitty Gritty dirt band is good stuff.I'm still a Willy fan,but going more for the old gospel music the older I get.
Most of the old country artists had at least one gospel album.
How most of them got their start I would imagine.M.O.Elvis did some of the best gospel.I am amazed at his voice to this day.
