Other people have told me the same thing about the dietary supplements, but I don't understand what the problem is. You realize the stuff Alex sells is the same type of stuff that people buy everyday at Whole Foods and GNC. In fact, outlets like BuzzFeed have tested his products and been forced to admit that they are at least as good as, and sometimes better than, competitors.

The way I see it, Alex has to fund his operation somehow. He has the viewership and the bandwidth requirements of a mainstream cable news show, but can't sell the type of advertising those shows can. So he sells dietary supplements. People find fault with this, but a lot of those same people don't say shit about the nightly news selling pharmaceuticals to the public on every commercial break. As far as I know, no one has died from dietary supplements, and some of them actually help people. The same cannot always be said for the products pushed by big Pharma on the networks.
