A broken clock is right twice a day.

Let's not promote this shit site. They deserve no credit.

While I agree 100% with everything you just said - I would use that one article to break the cognitive dissonance and as an effective redpill.

Presented in the following context.

A) Snopes is wrong about this, and can be wrong about LOTS of other things as well

B) Snopes is RIGHT about this, so the media is wrong about LOTS of other things as well.

My method for red pilling people often involves making them question things rather than pushing them to certain ideas.

Valid point. The problem is that website are mutable. If the owners have bad intentions, they will do damage. What you are talking about is surgical red pilling. Given the right time, the right person and the right point, you can open a window for doubt and open their eyes.

Completely agreed. This is definitely a one time use pill to be sure.

As for the surgical style, I've taken to this approach after having success in one on one rational conversations. I use my social media to plant seeds of doubt and make people question things on specific small issues. For me it's all that single blade of grass growing through the pavement.

Snopes are vile, but this truth they couldn't deny.

We got receipts!

Snopes isn't great by any means, but they're definitely a hell of a lot better than most lamestream media.

I'm tired of the fighting but, yours is such a BS statement.

They're not even the media - they're a* fact checker*.
