EDIT: Holy fuck, McGovern won DC by 78% to 22% of the vote in an election that went 66% to 33% the other way. Even in MA McGovern only won 54 to 45. That's insane, it shows you how utterly out of step DC is with America. Even back then. Astounding. No wonder they hate Americans so much.
