Fox is probably only thinking of this as a matter of ratings, to present a case of hosts flipping and the twitter/media chatter it will generate will give them a show that promotes itself. Of course, they are still looking to maximize profit, so some talent/project manager will try to low ball it.

This sounds like made-up click-bait. They were dismissed from Fox after they said some tin-foily things about the pandemic. Fox has been super-sensitive about pandemic stuff from the start. They canned an on-air reporter after she appeared on-air with a slight cough, even though she had just tested negative for COVID. And they dumped Trish Regan after she made a politicizing comment about the pandemic.
It makes absolutely no sense that Fox would offer them money to "turn on Trump". Their entire shtick is Trump worship. And there was never any other remotely viable Republican POTUS candidate for 2020. Who the heck would Fox have asked them to endorse? It's not like they'd ever endorse a Democrat, nor would any segment of Fox's audience that likes Diamond and Silk have any further interest in them if they suddenly, inexplicably stopping cheering for Trump and endorsed some fringe candidate or one of the Dem candidates.
