You're looking for logic, instead of realizing it's an ideology. These people DO NOT care about if their businesses make money right now, or can support more employees. To some degree, they are a "late-stage capitalism" problem because they can now see a future in which they become the government or rulers by supplanting democracy.

To be clear, I don't believe that there is such a thing as "late-stage capitalism" in the true natural world. To me, the concept is simply a view and manifestation of communist doctrine invading the spheres of business, legislation, and culture. The entire idea must be fought and must be shown to be an unnecessary state being intentionally created by Marxists who are trying to manifest it. A natural capitalism will allow the smaller companies to be more attractive to the consumer. What we have now is merely crony capitalism.
