Not only that, but it has gotten much worse over the last four years, not better. The censorship has only ramped up and gotten more sinister. I am more frequently shadow banned now, rather than being openly banned, for example. Writing things that no one else can read is demoralizing and should be illegal. If you want to ban me from the service, fine, but let me know you're doing it.

It's like a book publisher continuing to accept your manuscripts and act like they are publishing your books like they always have except they never do, and don't tell you about the change. Thousands or millions of Americans have had the same happen to them I'm sure, and don't even know it.

This is a problem that needs to be solved before it's too late. These big tech companies are growing in size and power every day.

It's already way too late. All we can do is get ready for the worst and pray for the best.

Praying isn't going to do shit. Stop using their services and start using others. Money talks. Companies, no matter how dense, aren't going to pump money into ad platforms that aren't generating any revenue. Until they physically take money out of our bank account, they can't tell us where to spend it.

If praying doesn't do shit as you claim then we are more fucked than you will ever know. I was ahead of the curve on social media. I've been online since the late 80's on BBS'. I never made a myspace, facebook or any other social media account until T_D, I have always blocked all ads unless I specifically support a site. I have never shopped at amazon, not even once. I wont go on, but you get the picture. I think you're mistaken if you think these companies need your pennies to keep doing what they do. I'm pretty certain they would have enough funds to keep this shit up for a very long time even if they lost all ad revenue.

I'm just saying hoping won't do anything - we have to actively participate. Also, not referring to Amazon. Referring to the news stations and social media platforms that have very little physical product and their entire revenue is based on advertising.

Yes it’s gotten far worse. That’s why we’re all corralled over here where we can’t influence the undecided voters.
