Tell your team to look at their LAST paycheck before deferral.

Then, every time they get paid, get a piece of paper or a calculator, and subtract that last paycheck amount from what they just got paid.

Take the number left over, and put it into a savings account (not a CD, so they can get it right back out), and DON'T TOUCH IT.

Then, if the government wants people to pay back the money, they have it and can pay it back, no problem.

And when Trump wins in a landslide, and makes the cancellation permanent, the money in the savings account is all theirs and they can do what they want with it.

How would it be a bad thing?

How could the government getting less of your hard earned money ever be a bad thing?

All of the messaging coming out of the DOD is that we’ll be on the hook to repay starting in January

You should have tax free payments this year. As far as the deferral, no idea how that affects the tax free deploy pay....

I would contact your finance (if they ever answer) and see what they say about it they should have the truth data.

I'm sure you already tried that, and they didnt help, so you are asking on here. It would be nice if support agencies actually supported the warfighters. Instead of closing during what seems to be the majority of working hours. End of sport bitching session.

Second off -- they are getting upset about something that hasn't even happened yet..... Which is pretty fucking silly

It’ll actually take place for us next week.
