To be fair, Belgium didn’t want to fight WWI, they were dragged into it by the Germans invading them.

Luckily for Belgium, King Albert I managed to gather up an army and stop them at Ypres, where the King would continue to lead his troops till he finally liberated Belgium in 1918.
