I hate to be "that guy" (oh, who am I kidding, I love being "that guy." Tremble at my profound knowledge of pedantic minutia) but a 2015 Yale study found that chilly noses are actually perfect breeding grounds for rhinoviruses, and that keeping your schnoz warm inhibits viral replication.

Cold air makes your nose run and sneezing helps with the propagation, but only if you have a cold to start with. Eskimos who live in remote villages never get cold because no one has one to give it to them and infect The Village even if their noses are always running and they're always wiping it. If you lived alone on an island, no matter how cold it got, you would never get a cold.

And remember, Yale also said to stay indoors and wear a mask...
