Yes, but thats because our last few "wars" were against groups that dont recognize the Geneva Convention. That said, the way Antifa uses "medics" makes their designation irrelevant. Its the same with people who have PRESS plastered all over them.

Per wikipedia:

According to the Geneva Convention, knowingly firing at a medic wearing clear insignia is a war crime.

Vice versa, the convention also states that no medic should carry a weapon, or be seen engaged in combat.

Comabat medics in the US Army have been armed since WW2.

Precisely. Our comvat medics are just that, for combat. They don't qualify for medic status under the Geneva Convention due to their carrying a weapon. That said, they're probably better off because it's not like those goat fuckers in the east respect the Geneva Convention anyway.
