If your DL doesn't match your lease and you used the DL address on the DROS then your lease will not work as a proof of residency.
Also a fishing license works (even a 1 day license). Cheap way to get around this nonsense.
Some 2A organization really needs to get a homeless plaintiff and sue the state over this particular garbage law.
They said I can use vehicle registration, driver’s license, and/or utility bill. I’ll try the lease agreement and if that doesn’t work then I have to just let the gun I bought get refunded. I don’t have time to go to the DMV right now. I’m slammed at work which is the whole reason I have been working on getting my CCW since late last year. Job sites can be in remote areas.

Here is a list of acceptable residency documents as published by the CA DOJ. Here is the specific penal code saying that you may use a lease agreement or "other evidence of residency as permitted by the Department of Justice" (see previous link). Never take legal advice from gun stores.
