That's why? Why are charter schools more exposed than any other public school?

Because, charter schools are for profit -- that means you volunteer to go to one (or your parents volunteer you)...not all parents have, shall we say, good intentions vis a vis the U.S. The charter schools will cater to whatever ideology and curriculum is demanded from the parents or students (age depending of course). Also, since more students means more money, they have actively promoted and aided foreign nationals wanting into the country, even to the point of offering advice on how to skirt U.S. law, in order to grow their companies as well as encouraging political involvement of their student body/parents to vote for a more pro-immigration/pro-foreign national stance.

I always suggest people who are fully, uncritically on board the charter school movement check out who are running many of our charter schools: Scientology and Nation of Islam for two. Yes Virginia, there really are some things that are even worse than public schools (or just as bad). Be careful what you wish for, and let the buyer beware!

I'd check your sources. Charter schools aren't for profit. They're funded the same way as all other public schools, except they may actually get less funding where they miss out on secondary sources in some states (education lottery).

First point is just flat out wrong and the rest is not specific to charter schools. All public schools have the same exposure.

Oh, ok, my bad. I should have added that while some private academies are dependent upon tuition (that would mean profit), the charter school system now receives public funding (aka. taxpayer dollars, which is often counted as profit by the company running said school). I would recommend reading up on how many of these schools have been investigated for money laundering, embezzlement, and fraud. There is no form of oversight into these schools at the present time.

I really don't have anything against the idea of charter schools, but 1. they are not the magic cure some purport them to be; 2. they are not being evaluated any better (and sometimes, yes, worse) than the public schools.
