Came here to say this. Also sociology is a fucking joke I studied it for a semester in college and it was leftist indoctrination to the max. I once got chastised in front of an entire class for pointing out that the number of people born intersex is so incredibly small that it doesn't make sense to restructure the entire system around them (the entire lecture was about how these people don't fit into the "system", which saying so only alienates them further) and that they still have the freedom to lead and live meaningful lives if they so choose and the professor started screeching they're victims and I can't believe you would marginalize the struggle of these poor people.
Anyways what I really learned is that sociology has nothing to do with objectively studying society's structure (which I thought sounded interesting) and instead has everything to do with subjectively interpreting reality based on made up, ever changing rules. What I wouldn't give to have my time and money back on that one. Although I did learn a valuable lesson about how some things and organizations are not named based on what they are but instead on how they want the thing to be perceived
