Yes; exactly. I stopped donating because this matching gimmick set off my BS alarm. It's one thing not to answer a question that hasn't been asked; it's another thing to not preemptively answer an obvious question. That's what triggered my BS alarm and stopped my donations. I doubt I'm the only kulak that feels that way.
Hopefully, someone within the campaign will see this thread and do something about it. The question has now been asked. A good answer will probably unleash a lot more donations.
Matching, or even 2x matching seems plausible... Though I think it would run afoul of campaign finance laws. 5x, and now 8x is absurd. Where does it stop? Lol
