I’ve seen a couple of military pilots train for the shot Kyle took on the skateboarder. They did it based on the Blackhawk Down scenario.
Never even heard of a civilian training that way!
If I’m not mistaken (sometimes audio and video don’t match), he took the skateboarder shot from the back, and over the shoulder. It was center-mass through the heart. Either extremely lucky or very skilled. Seeing how he had already made several accurate shots over the past minute or so, I’d say it was skill!

I just can't get over how he used the sitting firing position.
that's the weirdest one of them all to be comfortable in but he pulled it off in the heat of the moment.
And his trigger discipline and threat acquisition/target discrimination was amazing.

I've taken sitting shots during PWT1 or 2, but obv the preferred is prone or kneeling or standing, or from the hip :)

Back in my days as a Marine recruiter I would have had a few words with the prosecutor and Kyle would have been in Parris Island by the weekend.
