Don't send out a woman cop like we saw here to control a mob, or to subdue male suspects. Use those women for things women are generally better at, like dealing with kids who are crime victims, or for searching female suspects, maybe for trying to talk down agitated, unstable people. Use them where their strengths can be advantageous.
Don't send them out in a riot. Her partner has to worry about not only (I am assuming) himself, but worry about her safety as well. This isn't an episode of Hunter, this is real life.
