was a california resident, thank god they shut it. They shut it after Fukishima, because San Onofre ALSO sits on an earthquake fault near the ocean. I'm fine with nuclear, just not there...put it out in the desert.

Palo Verdes, the largest nuclear power plant in the US, is in the desert outside of Phoenix.

It can be done. Maybe not with the misspending of the Californian Government though.
