Today was the first day my gym opened back up in North Carolina. They wouldn't let me in without a mask. Even after telling them I have asthma and that I'm exempt from the NC mask mandate they wouldn't let me in to lift.
This shit is absurd. I thought it was against the law to discriminate against someone with a medical condition? When is this nonsense going to end?
Fuck Roy Cooper and fuck the Mask Covidians that follow along with this charade.
File a lawsuit.

Apparently private enterprise can make that decision though which doesn't seem right.
Start with a phone book or Google, look up ADA lawyers, call each one until one agrees to do it pro bono. Out of 100, you'll find a few, guaranteed.
Nope, they cannot, it's federal law. See my other post above. They depend on weak people that are broke, who cannot afford to challenge their bullshit. Don't be that weak person.
Honestly, you don't even need a lawyer, as soon as they find out how expensive it will be for THEM to get a lawyer, they'll probably be willing to negotiate.
I personally, would not allow them to recant. I'd get a few months free membership for my troubles and to help me forget being embarrassed at being turned away for my disability.
