Discussion: What old or new movies/TV shows are you watching these days, Pedes? Any recommendations?
HIGH ENERGY
I've been watching a great, gritty little western series called Mackenzie's Raiders and another called Whiplash. And couple great movies, Ice Station Zebra and The Guns of Navarone.
And I just bought a DVD of The Matrix, can't wait to watch it for the first time!
How about you?
Edit: There's a discussion about favorite books going on over here as well!

Just started rewatching Home Improvement, Tim Allen’s sitcom from the 90’s. nice to see a traditional, nuclear family on display
Great show! Genuinely funny family-centered sitcoms were so common in the 90's, it's really a shame we don't have many shows like that anymore.
I know what you mean, love that show. :)
Have you seen The Middle? It's got a traditional, Midwestern, middle class family and it's so funny!
The Rifleman
Chuck Connors is a Legend. I just watched an episode of The Six Million Dollar Man and Chuck was the guest star. He was awesome. :)
The Godfather1&2 are imo, the 2 best movies of all time
recently watched movies from 80s, good light hearted fun: Back to the future 1,2,3, Field of dreams, The goonies, The Breakfast club, Caddyshack, Trading PLaces, Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Romancing the Stone, CLUE(love the political under tones mentioned)
Tombstone is a good one from early 90s
Inception 2010 is a good movie
Lol, nice! I've heard good things about that show.
I recently started re-watching King of the Hill. Enjoying the well-written, character-based humor. I appreciate the show now more than ever, and realize that there is so much subtle humor I missed when I was younger.
Although Hank's rigidity is funny, the show generally backs a more conservative outlook. A lot of funny situations come from the family's interactions with "progressive" people and views, which are often gently ridiculed.
I’ve been watching WW2 documentaries, DIY shows, Chopped with Bobby Flay, and old movies
Old movies are the best. :) and WW2 documentaries are always so awesome.
I just watched one about the Battle of the Khe Sanh. First hand accounts from the bravest Marines who survived. Best thing I watched all week. Was riveting and suspenseful, better than any PEDOWOOD theatrics.
Sounds awesome, I'll look into it! Thanks for mentioning it, and oh yeah, Hollyweird has nothing good coming out of it nowadays.
Free stuff on youtube:
The Rockford Files
Sherlock Holmes
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Miniseries starting Alec Guiness
Film Noir Movies
Wonderful! Those are some of my absolute favorites as well.
Which Sherlock Holmes are your favorites? They have so many different portrayals of him!
"Shark" on Hulu, starring... James Woods. Filmed 2006-2009.
Oh wow, now that sounds awesome! Added to my list. :)
King of the Hill and South Park, so funny and a dose of sanity in these crazy times
Gunsmoke and Adam-12
Two of the best series on the Silver Screen!
I've been watching through Colombo, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Mission Impossible, Rawhide and Hogan's Heroes.
Nothing like the classics! Story lines and acting are top tier!
Cool!! Stargate: Atlantis sounds awesome, I'll have to add that to my list. :)
Oh yes, this is definitely going to be a new favorite show for me. Love it! 😁 Thanks for sharing!

sorry to be a pedant, it’s just a huge peeve of mine.
