I don't know why some of these guys who have put in the time and can retire at any time stay on the job. In some cases, they may have started their careers late in life and just won't make that much in retirement. But when you have the years on, there's a good chance they won't give up much if any in pay while in retirement.
Those officers in a unique position to bounce should do so ASAP. We've seen that it doesn't matter what town or city it is in America, an incident involving a black person will get nationwide attention and you never know what that next call will turn into.
