I'm in a "big switch" debate and am being told the Republican party is the racist party because after Johnson signed the civil rights act all the racists including the KKK all switched to the Republican party.

Look up Voting Rights for women, blacks, etc. Republicans have always been "on the right side."

Your thinking of Strom Thurmond who later became a Republican. Byrd was always a Democrat. Both were long serving Senators but Byrd was celebrated and Thurmond was portrayed as evil by the media.

They didn't, go to their site and read their manifest. Identity politics was their idea in conjunction with the neo nazis implemented by the democrats. Both groups have endorsed Biden. there was two resurgences of the KKK, the first was run by democrats and the third failed at its origins, because republicans are inherently individualistic and not racist. Also with the whole racist switch because of voter accessibility doesn't explain the slow switch to the republican party, that would better be explained by a long history of corruption and violent riots caused and pushed by the democrats.
Sounds like Democrats, Johnson especially, thought there were more black Democrat voters than there were KKK members, and wasn't worried about keeping the KKK guys because they didn't matter.

I have made one response and will be pulling from your information to help with more, one point I made was that, them still calling themselves Demorats would be similar to a Nazi party still existing in Germany but claiming their now the good guys, sure that will ruffle some feathers.
I read all over the internet and have read White Nationalist sites. I dont think it is 100% switch the republican. I see them arguing with each other over politics as much as anyone else.
Its just like the commie sites when you read those. Well they are actually closer to one group think than most.
