If you never opted in, then they broke the law by texting you.

Yes! Take them to small claims court. You have to be opted in and they have to give you a method to stop the texts. Each and every unsolicited text they send you grants you an opportunity to recieve damages from them. People sue for this and win damages all the time. They count on you not caring or responding which makes you a participant. Just go to small claims court. You're entitled to roughly $100 for each unsolicited text.
