OOOooops. My bad. The kid is white and has autism, the race of the officers is unknown, the mom called for help b/c her son who was having a meltdown, and the spokesperson of the Salt Lake City Police Department said:

"Mom can say whatever she wants, but there's this investigation that has to happen".

No riots. Just a anxious mother who is waiting patiently for her son to get better and justice to happen.

and it happened 3 days ago.

If you can't control an unarmed 13 year old autistic kid, you shouldn't be a fucking cop. Pure and simple. ZERO justification for shooting the kid. None.

Retard strength is from the Urban Dictionary.

Used to describe the strength found amongst autists and people suffering from mental disabilities.

Mostly males, despite being mentally disabled, they have extremely strong upper body strength and can hurt people without even understanding the damage they are inflicting.

I didn't see the comment above but let them be. No need to argue with them. I relate to you. and my post was in no way to shed a light on Autism Spectrum. anyway, I hope you and your family (and the angry bear 🐻 ) are fine.

I am the mom of a child with Autism. I worked for the school district (bus driver) in my area that specializes in kids like mine. Sometimes, during a "meltdown" even with my training and home experience, I couldn't calm the kid down. Other kids would be at risk. The first step then is to call and see if another driver is empty and in your area. Why? Because we are trained, yearly, and this is what we do. If no one was around, we reluctantly called for the police. Police aren't trained for this. Last time I called for police help a gun was pointed at an 13 year old. I trained for 40 hours every year, plus having one at home, and had 21 years experience, and sometimes I couldn't bring the kid down. The police deal with "normal" people who act out, who have the ability to understand they need to stop. They don't know what to do with kids/adults on a spectrum with IQ's ranging from 40-160. Who don't process words and concepts like you do. Parents don't have a good option in these situations. Oh, FYI, social workers won't come out to help either. They tell you to call the cops.

Thank you for this comment. I am well aware as a father of an autistic child myself. But luckily, my child communicates well and we can manage her meltdowns. Now, the reason of my post was just to show the difference of coverage and reactions by the press and the liberals regarding the police actions. If this child were black, I'm 100% sure, it would have made the news 24/7 and protests would have ensued.

Don’t ever call the police on anyone you care about EVER.

That was not the point of my post and I disagree with what you wrote.

I saw this on the Daily Mail, she needs a lawyer, NOW. What happened is inexcusable. She appears to have no gofundme page or anything like that. Is there someone who can help her??

Squidproblow 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yeah i saw this story earlier. Not enough details to know what happened. Ill wait.

and right there is the difference b/t one community and the next. Wait for at least some info before acting, or simply act irrationally bcuz

The cops fucked up. Pure and simple. Say he had a weapon? He's a 13 year old with Aspergers- two cops can't subdue him without using potentially lethal force? Right. Fuck the police on this one. It's like cops are trying to be hated by both sides.
