Reading stories about the French troops that Napoleon commanded are truly amazing. So many battles won by pure grit and determination. A lot of them probably got killed because of their massive balls weighing them down as they ran into cannon and musket fire. Also France was the first major power recognize America as a sovereign nation.
If we want to play what if... What if Assyria defeated Rome in the Punic Wars? What if Rome wasn't retarded and didn't accidentally destroy the Library of Alexandria when they tried to take it, but burned down the Port and the fire spread out of control...
Some of the smallest deviations in history, and everything could be different... In the future, I hope and plan on exploring such curiosities by doing some sliders shit... Future gets really weird, so, it might just be in the cards. Maybe I'll kill Hitler.

Don't want to be not picky but Rome fought Carthage in the punic wars. But I agree with your post in general
