Forgot to post it here. Switched to Barbasol instead. Been with DSC for over three years and their razors sucked, but their virtue signaling made me end it. When asked why I was leaving, I just wrote that I didn't agree with the Marxist BLM activism they were now a part of; they don't really care because there are so few of us conservatives left to really make an impact with boycotts and they know it, but it's the principle involved to stand against communism. BTW, Barbasol razors are soooo much better than DSC!

Double edge razors ($20 for a year's supply), a $30 handle that'll last a lifetime, a brush, and a tub of Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream.

I made the switch to safety razors recently. I like it. It seems more like a manly shave.

This will be my next move

I did this. Totally worth it. The quality of the shave is much higher.

I've been on DE for a few years....my only problem: I like the Gillette platinum. Looking to switch (for obvious reasons). I like coated and sharp..... any suggestions from any pedes???????

The bic flex 5 isn't tearing me up. I have pretty sensitive skin.

Agreed. Bic Flex are pretty darn good.

I liked trying out their different soaps and shave gels, but it was still too expensive for what they gave you. I'll miss the shave butter, but that's about it

To my knowledge, it is. I threw away the welcome pack info, but I believe it said it was all made here.

Barbasol shaving cream is made in the US. The razors are Dorco, made in S. Korea.

FYI - Most brands sold online and/or clubs are Dorco, including DSC.

Wait what??

DSC watched Gillette tank after their SJW shit, saw new customers come to them from Gillette, and somehow thought the next best move was to do what Gillette did???

Clown world indeed.

Does anyone else get the feeling these companies are being told what to do by someone else not interested in their revenue?

I have no idea what their thinking is. They are just all so obsessed with being woke and liberal that they throw objectivity and dignity out the window.

I finally ran down my Gillette fusion blades and picked up a Schick Hydro 5. Blades are USA made. Not sure about the handle. Haven't seen any cucked out BLM apologies or donations from them yet either.

RyanT282 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Schick is good and very reasonable with the price. I was a Gillette man for 10 years, but I gave up Gillette back in '17 before they started the whole "being a man is bad" woke shit. The prices were absolutely outrageous. The Sensor Excel and the Mach5 were fantastic, but my budget was busted just for razor cartridges.

I was buying them in bulk with coupons and they were still pricey but I was just used to them. After that woke commercial I vowed to use up my supply and switch.

If you have a Rite-Aid try their Razors 12 Month Pack $19.99

RyanT282 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

No Rite-Aids here. I just started their shave club, so I'll stay with that for a while.

I did a similar thing. Nothing to do with shaving but I was asked by my centrist/liberal friend if I would be doing Fantasy Football with them as I have for 3 years. I told them, "no, I'm done with the NFL" Them and others in the group chat attempted to shame me for it. Fuck that shit. Anyone supporting the Marxist agenda can go broke.

2
RyanT282 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good for you! Just walk away from that shit once and for all. You won't miss the NFL. I was a baseball fan for years, but I haven't had anything to do with the MLB this season and I never will.

2
KeepItCopacetic83 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's what we all need to do. Get Woke go Broke. I'm sick of this pandering to marxism. The average Joe doesn't get it yet. It's infuriating tbh

2
SharkTeamTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

DSC is owned by the European conglomerate Unilever - their blades are made by Dorco.

2
blackdudeinresidence 2 points ago +2 / -0

Said no to all razor companies. Whole industry is too woke for me. Just using fast orange soap bar and a ka-bar knife these days.

2
Bossman 2 points ago +2 / -0

I did the same too! I even made a post about it. They are losing money.

2
RyanT282 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wonder how many guys have stopped using DSC on the past few months?

2
SharpCookie 2 points ago +2 / -0

You can find bulk shaving stuff on eBay for cheap. If you get like a 10-20 pack lot of blades they're like 30% what retail is.

Ebay will literally solve all these problems that companies offered gimmicky solutions for. And you're at least dealing with real people and real small businesses (typically, but there's both big box companies and small businesses on there).

Im a Barbasol man. I wouldn't care if Gillette or DSC razors made my face look like a model, I'm not supporting those virtue signaling dickwads.

i_still_like_beer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Get a double sided safety razor. A brush, bowl, and shave soap. Make a nice thick lather. Shave like your grand pappy did.

1
ICantREEEE 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wrong that there are so few of us to make a difference through boycotts however. Go woke, go broke!

1
RyanT282 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, the reason why I mentioned that is because all these companies are doubling down on their disgusting virtue signaling and it seems like 95% of companies are doing this, so they don't seem to be hurting any by our fellow conservatives boycotting them.
