The hallmark of Democracy is the peaceful transition of power. I remember my econ professor saying that elections are war but without bullets. This is 100% true. It is a contest for power.

I fear that if the election is remotely close for either candidate, the losing side will not accept defeat. This leads to scenarios that would be disastrous to the unity of the county. The win must be swift and conclusive to ensure peace (if there's rioting afterward, it will be handled). It doesn't matter if you live in a majority red or blue state, go out and vote. The popular vote doesn't win elections, but it still has a real psychological effect.

Talk to friends, coworkers, or family about these things, even if you don''t always see eye to eye. I have a lot of friends who are super liberal, and with Covid and the way Biden was elevated in the primary, they are definitely questioning things. Let's welcome them warmly and with compassion.

I believe we were all born into this time and place for a reason. And I believe that together we are so much stronger than when divided. I pray that this country returns to a greater sense of unity. And I pray that we are able to find a renewed goal or purpose. Let's do everything we can to ensure this victory.

The best is yet to come.

They didn't accept defeat in 2016. That's why they tried to do a coup. Obama is the first president to violate the peaceful transition. For that he should be impeached (so he doesn't get Secret Service protection or any pension). The mistake I feel was not rubbing their noses in it. By being 'good winners' we allowed them to LARP all kinds of bullshit.

We need to scream into their faces YOU LOST! ADMIT IT! Until they agree. If they don't then it's go time.
