The hallmark of Democracy is the peaceful transition of power. I remember my econ professor saying that elections are war but without bullets. This is 100% true. It is a contest for power.
I fear that if the election is remotely close for either candidate, the losing side will not accept defeat. This leads to scenarios that would be disastrous to the unity of the county. The win must be swift and conclusive to ensure peace (if there's rioting afterward, it will be handled). It doesn't matter if you live in a majority red or blue state, go out and vote. The popular vote doesn't win elections, but it still has a real psychological effect.
Talk to friends, coworkers, or family about these things, even if you don''t always see eye to eye. I have a lot of friends who are super liberal, and with Covid and the way Biden was elevated in the primary, they are definitely questioning things. Let's welcome them warmly and with compassion.
I believe we were all born into this time and place for a reason. And I believe that together we are so much stronger than when divided. I pray that this country returns to a greater sense of unity. And I pray that we are able to find a renewed goal or purpose. Let's do everything we can to ensure this victory.
The best is yet to come.
The left couldnt accept the loss in 2016. Everything we see now is because of that. And you are worried they wont accept AGAIN? That ship has sailed.
The modern loony toons left is off the rails. They are a generation of goddamn crybabies. This is what happens when libtard parents raise spoiled brat basement dweller entitled kids that get participation trophies. They end up being spoiled brat adults who cant accept electoral defeats, and just as bad cant accept that, yes, they have been used as pawns by the media for decades. They are sheep.
One of the reasons its important to be taught about WINNING AND LOSING is because that is the only way people learn how to be good sports. For most of my life, I never once voted for the national candidate that won (only once, until Trump). That didnt matter to me, I wasnt a goddamn giant crybaby screaming at the sky. I considered whoever won MY president, and decided to judge them on their results VS what they promised. Of course, I was always horrified at what scumbags they ended up being (some better than others).
But again, in 2016, they literally refused to accept the results, after actually attempting to rig the elections THEN submarine the incoming winner! Astounding, actually!
And nonstop temper tantrum since then. So if they dont accept the results this time, AGAIN, whats the difference?
We just need to ALL vote, and make it a landslide. If we DO THAT, their fraud attempts, which is all they have, will find very little root to take hold in. Their best avenue will be the Lefty Mayors and Governors they have, who are vicious and WILL fuck up the certifying of results, just watch them do it - OR TRY anyway. But if our results tallies are overwhelming they wont be able to. I think this is the same thing that happened in 2016.
