The Amazon fires were also started by people because they got money for the photos.

What was the Australian thing? I know they had big fires last year. Was there more to it?

Majority of the fires are farmers burning their fields to get it ready for planting. So when there is an out of control fire, the Climate Change religion can use the farmers controlled fires to push climate change.

Australia 2.0? USA Version.

Seahawks2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

WA's green tie commie governor won't even declare an emergency. Rather he has activated 'climate change, I told you so' mode. He is now not-so-secretly wishing for massive spread of wildfires.

Ah the Cuomo Response then with how he 'dealt with' the Shanghai Shivers

After seeing Australia, I'll never believe the media's story.

I see extinction rebellion stickers in my neighborhood that says something is beginning sept. 7. This looks related.

Closer scrutiny of those eco terrorists are necessary. Wish we had a functioning DoJ.

This is why you need to manage forests. Old trees means fires.

We should be logging everything in a cycle of ~50 years.

This happens because they do the worst of both worlds.

If left totally natural, there would be one huge fire that would burn it all out, and no more big fires ever. Since anything old gets wiped out quickly by a small fire.

If managed properly, fire breaks and controlled burns allow only small sections to really catch, limiting damage.

The thing they do is worse, they fight all the small fires but don't manage the forest, meaning massive fires rage far worse than of they did it right, or did nothing at all.

jgardner 1 point ago +1 / -0

The "nothing at all" approach also leads to fewer trees and less biodiversity.

If you care about the critters, you'll manage the forests.

The punishment for arson on this scale needs to be death. The destruction is incalculable.

agree, we need the death penalty for alot of things right now

4
SharpCookie 4 points ago +4 / -0

Jebus that is wild

17
WopNine17plus1 17 points ago +18 / -1

Most of that is arson. Sometimes the forest service itself starts the fires. I know that may be hard to accept, but we live in Clown World. Especially in Oregon.

17
OldHickorysFlintlock 17 points ago +17 / -0

Forest services prescribe burns to reduce fuel load to deter catastrophic wild fires in the future. Environmentalist nut jobs have sued to stop this practice resulting in 30+ years of unnatural fuel load build up which results in these out of control fires that cannot be stopped.

we have legit NO fires up here in Canada. started to get the smoky air from all the American fires. think about it. if you came to america, and hated america. wouldnt you just go around to a shit load of forests and start them all on fire? for fun? what a bunch of sick fucks

This helps but obviously doesn't prevent all fires from crossing

MapleBaconWaffles 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder if that's ever prevented a fire from crossing.

3
4
Aspielogic2 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's still hinky. Most of the big Canadian fires are within 1 hour of the border - in areas that don't historically have big burns.

Check out the Fire History Overlay to see what I mean.

2
TheTPL 2 points ago +2 / -0

A few years ago we had smoke from your Canadian wildfires blown down here, and I could actually smell it. It was pretty wild.

10
Deplora 10 points ago +10 / -0

Hard to say. With so many useful idiots doing things like setting off explosives for "gender reveal" parties, the terrorists may just be lying back and watching, thankful they don't have to do the "work" themselves.

If you draw a line connecting the top fires, the ones near san fran, and the ones near el paso, the figures roughly translate to "socialism is soup" in japanese.

2

Hi there 4chan! 👋

9
OldHickorysFlintlock 9 points ago +10 / -1

This is 100% due to forest mismanagement influenced by environmentalist whackos.

Prescribed burning is necessary to reduce fuel on the ground that these wildfires thrive on. Historically speaking, lighting strikes would start fires that would naturally manage fuel on the ground. We have interfered in so many ways it’s no longer possible for the necessary fire cycles to occur

4
Drewniverse [S] 4 points ago +5 / -1

I agree but due to the mismanagement the arsonists have a perfect way to feed it. I've said for years that the libs are going to burn California to the ground but I never thought it'd be like this.

6
OldHickorysFlintlock 6 points ago +6 / -0

Environmental groups suing the state agencies from prescribed burning has led to these dangerous conditions, yes. If these western states went back to controlled burning these dangerous conditions wouldn’t exist

8
SurfandTurf 8 points ago +9 / -1

This happens every year in the west. It’s just been incredibly hot these last few weeks.

17
Drewniverse [S] 17 points ago +18 / -1

Not like this... not even close. It has been hot but it's been hot for a few weeks now. They started labor day weekend for the most damage. Not coincidence. As a previous poster has said this is Australia 2.0

edit: for Oregon and Northern California to burn like this is unheard of. We were shooting fireworks in NorCal in the middle of July. It doesn't get as dry as so cal does.

I wouldn't say this year's summer is hardly special. Atleast not here in Texas, pretty mild actually

Looks about right. A large portion of the U.S. used to experience fires on a regular basis. The indians even developed methods of building their damn camps/towns to prevent the fires from destroying their homes and crops. In fact, many plants and animals evolved around these fires. I am so sick of science being ignored by idiots in the media and government for their political agendas. I live in Florida, fire happens here like clockwork because we are not a green state year round. Never have been, never will be.

Well, a wide majority of those fires are in the Southwestern United States, which happen to be the driest areas in the United States. We are entering a megadrought too. It's not that farfetched.

5
Proud_American 5 points ago +5 / -0

For an arsonist, these would be conducive conditions

2
Drewniverse [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are we looking at the same map? This is much much much more than just the southern US. Even by southern US standards this is a huge fire storm. To see it top to bottom like this is very unheard of.

Terrible Forrest management doesn’t help. Overloaded wires and transfer stations due to anti-environmental green policies. Political gaslighting causes forest fires, and I’m not talking metaphorically.

2
Jermzdee 2 points ago +2 / -0

For someone that understand the fires and weather of the area could we look at history+weather conditions and cone up with done type of probability?

I've known some people who've been saying this for years, and yeah, seeing all of these fires popping on the windward side of the Cascades seems weird.

1
stormdraintrooper 1 point ago +2 / -1

Naw... It's just west coast environmentalism.

You would normally have a fire blow through every few years, burning off the loose undergrowth, seasonal grassess and such.

Under "Forest management" this was not allowed. So now, you have in some cases, centuries of undergrowth that have built up, and when burning, are too hot, and burn off the old growth pines and oaks that would normally survive.

There are species that require fires to propagate.

1
Amarant9 1 point ago +1 / -0

Colorado Pede here. Lots of fires started because of the ridiculously dry conditions and cigarettes flicked from windows on the interstate. We had tons of rain earlier in the season, causing lots of growth for fuel production. It happens yearly. Some years are worse than others.

Not trying to discount OP theory, just adding more info.

1
NoName911010101 1 point ago +1 / -0

Something is not right. Several "spot" fires are cropping up all within hours of each other and just miles apart.
