Nobody watches them anymore anyway. They keep trying to appeal to an international audience due to declining veiwers. Here's a tip, make things Americans want to watch you talentless hacks.
Stop trying to entertain the world. Nobody else does that. No other country does that!

Hollywood is not run by Americans. Is that not obvious?

Not even by people, either. Commies almost universally, even if they do benefit from a relatively free market society.

(Yeah, I know. Hypocrisy from leftards, what a surprise.)

Well duh!

It's always been focused on export as well. Even Jewish Hollywood dare not make blantly anti Nazi films in the 1930s they waited the Brits to make those films. They even changed the ending of some films exported to Germany as to not offend audience.

Oh I know Hollywood history.

Yes. Last year “Parasite” won best picture. What the actual fuck? That was a Korean film. With subtitles. Why is that winning Best Picture instead of Best Foreign Film? What is the point of Best Foreign Film if they throw foreign films in other categories? AMERICA FIRST!

It was really good. But remember when Passion of the Christ couldn't get nominated for best foreign language film?

No. What happened with that film? Was that the Mel Gibson one? I recall the film, but I vaguely remember the details of the awards season.

"Outdated Oscar rules". Totally nothing to do with the religious depictions in the movie.

It was released over here and I'm not mad about that one, it was actually a really good movie. (Parasite)

I saw it, it was decent, but still think it should not have been nominated for best picture.

Yep- in England for their award shows, yes some Americans win but most of the awards go to Brits.

More than half of Hollywood's income comes from the international market.

Not only that, China is both the single biggest foreign market and increasingly owns and controls American film-making.

Suddenly, everything the Chinese and international market loved about American films has been edited out.

Suddenly studios are losing trucks of money. It started way before the Rona. Movies are losing money. They are risk averse and make the same pirate movie. Or super hero movie. These are things not dependent on dialogue. But lack newness. They burnout audiences. I hate new movies now.

No doubt. Unless it's Marvel or LOtR, the the whole list is stuff I've never watched.

Thank God the LotR series was made when it was and not today. These days it would look like the United Nations in Middle Earth.

Hollywood makes movies for China now and has for several years. That's why movies have gotten so bad: They are made to please both the Chinese overlords and the Chinese audience.
