The purpose of the renaming is to remove the distinction between 'latino' and 'latina'. In the plural form, unless the group is wholly of women, you use 'latinos'. This is clearly sexist, as a single male can swing the plural into the male version.

There are many languages that have gendered nouns or adjectives, and making this binary distinction is also an issue for non-binary people, reminding them in every sentence that they are not normal.

English used to do the same, but phased it out in the Middle Ages.

So what these people are saying is 'We have a superior language to you, as we dumped this abusive and stupidly arbitrary part of your cultural institutions 500 years ago. Alter your whole language to suit our current fads. Replace all those 'a' and 'o' word endings, and use an 'x' instead. And of course, the articles 'el, la, una, un' etc continue to be gendered, so you'll have to stop using them. Perhaps use 'ex, ux, unx, lx'.

If you're not sure how to pronounce words in your new language just ask a SJW to explain things to you.

As to all those old dictionaries, books, movies, recordings etc using this abusive language you can drop them off for recycling.'
