"KGW confirmed Oregon Public Broadcasting's reports that Kevin Hoar, the communications director for the state GOP, insists the party did get its statement into an online filing system by 4:59 p.m. on Aug. 25, the final day for filing."
They know that Democrats are going to cheat. This shit should have been submitted days early. It's sloppy. No doubt there were tech problems, and it's possible they were intentional to screw with the R party. However the R party needs to keep it's head in the game. They keep expecting an even playing field for some reason. This isn't the kind of mistake that Trump would make. He's always three steps ahead. This is classic old Republican Party tripping on it's shoelaces type stuff.
u/Friendly_B is saying that we know the Democrats are trying to cheat, and Republicans should act in ways that demonstrate their understanding of that.
This is the "don't wear a skirt and walk in dark alleys" argument. You're saying that wearing the skirt is fine. Friendly is saying, "Don't be stupid."
Point out that they're crooked. That's good. I hope the R party wins their lawsuit. Doesn't mean they should have fallen for it. I saw THAT as the reason why Democrats win. They cheat and screw, they lie openly and brazenly, and the Rs just keep walking into the open pits.
Why would they have waited until the last minute on something like this though?

What kind of planner goes down to the last minute, literally? Not a good one.

We're not "blaming the GOP". We're pointing out that our "leadership" is dumb as rocks.
Both things can be true.
This is it right here. We play by their rules when we should playing by our own fucking rules.
Asking them to submit before the very last minute isn't asking them to go above and beyond.
