It stops your your breath from shooting out as a high pressure jet in a cone line area in front of you. Instead it stays around you and reduces the pressure gradient outside the mask. That's the point. It stops your your breath from shooting out as a high pressure jet in a cone line area in front of you.
Instead it stays around you and reduces the pressure gradient outside the mask.
Would you be comfortable with surgeons working on you without a mask on? Why is this different?
