Obviously this is a disservice to blacks and to patients treated by black docs out of their depth in crisis situations or in cases requiring deep problem solving in subtle ambiguous complex cases. Without rancor I have worked alongside the kindest most authentic black doctors who I would not ever permit them to work independently
