IIRC, 47% of IRS claims are zero or negative income tax (yes, they get paid from the IRS).
The current welfare system strongly disincentivizes having fathers around, even while we know that fatherless households are the strongest indicators of crime and teen/young adult problems.
To be quite frank, ending universal suffrage is the only way we get ourselves out of this mess. Without it, the politicians willing to make the necessary changes will be replaced by those who will reverse those decisions.
Exactly! The current system incentivizes those who are a drain on society to not only stay that way but to vote for more “free” stuff financed by other people. I’m reminded of a quote by the great Thomas Sowell
