It's from the fires, most of them are in Northern California, and they are rapidly spreading because of the wind

We have a big old fire near me in San Diego. The sky was quite orange the other day. Some genius decide having a pyrotechnic gender reveal during a heat wave and high winds was a great idea.

They also spread because of the stupidity of the people who forbade clearing all the dry underbrush. They've probably never been on a nature trail before either.

It's hilarious because every single Leftist and 'Liberal' I've heard is blaming global warming, as if wildfires have never happened before. Literally, our landscape is shaped by wildwires, that's the whole point of coniferous forests.

And yet the Democrats in charge have let forest clearing funds for State Parks go out the window for stupid shit like high speed trains.

Yeah my mom, who still lives in California was trying to guilt me about my Trump support by blaming all the fires on him because he's not stopping global warming. Then she complained because POTUS threatened to withhold emergenct declararion funding because California "wouldn't rake". But lo and behold they got their funding and a few days later the governor agreed to start raking that shit.

How have leftists gotten so stupid that they can't see the sense in clearing out dry brush and dead trees?

I lead a lot of hikes in the redwoods and chaparral around California too. I mention fire just about every time, because it is evident that the forest burns all the time, but in State Parks you can tell the understory hasn’t burned in decades, if not longer. Loads of fuel on the ground in Big Basin (Which just burned last week) and Muir Woods.

If people wish t preserve redwood and pine forests, the forest must burn regularly. Some pine cone species cannot even open their own cones without fire.

Glad we have the forest expert here on .win guys. Leaving dead, dry and Ripe to spread a flame bushes and brush to go uncleared for over 40 years so the forests can “Just take care of themselves” is a brilliant idea! Thanks liberal “environmentalists” for your fake science that literally set the whole state and neighboring states on fire! Forest management 101 is to clear dead underbrush, and to regularly have controlled burns so vulnerable zones could be contained.
