Yes, I've actually been told the "directives change based on new info" line. Wish I had thought at the time to ask something along the lines of, "If I told you to drink bleach (ha) because I sold to you it worked wonders on your body, and then months later told you not to due to lethal side effects after months of not changing my stance and thousands of deaths, does that suddenly make my words trustworthy now? Why would you believe anything else I said at that point?"
