As a reformed Catholic since my mid-twenties now in my mid-50's I love this. The modern Catholic Church is one of the few forces in the world that is an advocate for morality at a global level.
The Church doesn't leave morality up for a vote by parishioners. That wouldn't be guiding, that would be morality via consensus.
What's happening in this country, and this world, now requires a moral strength of purpose that will likely have me sitting in a pew pretty soon. I'll probably sit down with Episcopalians first - Catholic-Lite.
Creds - Mother was a devout Catholic who taught Catholic School, I sent my son to a Catholice HS. Listening to talk radio on my way out of Boston 20 years ago I heard Howie Carr read the stats that Catholic Priests were no more likely to abuse kids (per-capita) than Presbyterian Ministers or Rabbi's
I used to really appreciate the Jesuits for their efforts promoting critical thinking within the church, but now I'm not so sure. Jesuit schools have always been slightly left of the Pontiff, but they seem to have been emboldened by the Pope to classify individual souls by color.
Sorry for the rant, Frens. Just sorting out my own head.
This was the first time, in quite a while, I've seen actual Christianity come from a Catholic publicly. I couldn't resist sharing it, but I see the same nonsense of non-Christians pretending to be Christian. I recently left my church because they've been drinking the critical race theory Koolaid and flat out lied about the constitution from the pulpit. Lessoned learned anything that says it's non-denominational is lukewarm at best and most likely wrong on everything.
I would love to see more Catholics like this guy actually speaking the Truth. I'm a reformed Baptist and don't ever see Catholicism as for me (I'm not into hierarchies) but I would love for more of this guy and less of the other guy replacing the Nicene Creed with blm garbage.
Sorry my little rant lol, but I know what's it like holding stuff in and finding someone/somewhere to dump where people get it if it's we aren't 100% on the same page.
