I searched for actual rather than projected https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/

So a month later than that projection, and an equal number per 100,000 have died in both states.

I live in ND, they only closed dine-in for restaurants for about 2 weeks. Also, there never was a mask mandate.
