Washington pede. High winds caused a lot of the fires. They knocked down trees and branches that took down power lines, or straight took down the lines themselves (some areas had 60 mph winds). Not saying some of them aren't possibly arson, but I know the winds caused some of them. Only one I know for sure was arson and was put out quickly. The weather is unseasonably hot and dry, contributing to the problem.
