Is there anything to this? I don't know anything about DEW, but there is clearly a "beam" that shows up in infrared light. Would be interested in thoughts from somebody more knowledgeable. This goes straight to a fire, 2 nights in a row (first California, then Oregon).

It could be a tile stitching glitch from where multiple satellite video feeds are stitched together to cover more surface area of the planet. The black line could be added programatically to reduce the appearance of the stitching artifacts
