You know what caused the coin shortage? A few years ago my boys and I would go to the bank a few times a year with all our change. Each boy would haul in the contents of his piggy bank. I would haul in my change. The bank had a machine for counting coins in the lobby. It was free for account holders. My kids loved pouring their coins in the machine and listening to the sound as the change was counted. We loved guessing how much each person would have, who would have the most money, and we made a little competition out of it. The machine would pop out a receipt and the bank teller would give us cash for all that change. It was fun! They’d go in with a bag of nickels, dimes, quarters, pennies, and come out with a twenty, a ten, and a five dollar bill. We loved it! It was a win for the bank. They got change. It was a win for my boys. They learned how saving money could add up. It was a win for our family, because we’d spend it on something fun. It was a win for the economy, because we would spend some of the money instead of just letting coins collect in our home. And then what happened? Our bank (Wells Fargo) took all coin machines out of their bank lobbies. Now if I want to bring in our change, they expect me to roll it. No thanks. This is 2020. I am not rolling pennies like it’s 1978. If I want to use a coin machine, I could go to Walmart and use Coinstar, but no, I am not paying a percentage to cash in my change. So now my change just collects. I am sure we aren’t the only family doing this now.
If they want to end the coin shortage, bring back the free coin counters to every bank lobby. Problem solved in a matter of days.
Back when I was much younger, the XBOX was the new system about to be on the market. In school I had kids who would chuck coins at me. You know, a quarter here, a quarter there. They would just end up in my backpack. Somehow I managed to save up enough to get an XBOX on release day. I managed to accumulate a few hundred dollars somehow (still surprises me how quickly change adds up).
Quick painless trip to the bank with a backpack full of coins, used the machine, no fees, straight to cash from the teller.
That's pretty neat, maybe banks should get a scaled up version that counts and sorts all the change you put into em, then gives you a receipt that you can exchange for many, many green people from history times.
Bank employees informed me the coin counter was removed due to repeated inaccuracies. The machine ripped off too many people.
Branches installed the machine without considering who would take care of the daily calibration processes.
It was an added task without adding any employees. It became an issue when employees would just pretend to calibrate it because they didn’t have time to do the full procedure.

I think one problem for them with releasing a real deadly virus is how do they control it? Bank employees informed me the coin counter was removed due to repeated inaccuracies. The machine ripped off too many people.
Branches installed the machine without considering who would take care of the daily calibration processes.
It was an added task without adding any employees. It became an issue when employees would just pretend to calibrate it because they didn’t have time to do the full procedure.

And then he went after China. This may also explain why Biden and the Democrats are having to go so much more extreme on the bullshit to try to put Trump back in that hoax position.
